I grew up in Scituate, Massachusetts. The Cedar Point Lighthouse at the mouth of Scituate Harbor was an important landmark of my youth and one of the main reasons I became obsessed with the lighthouses of New England.
This painting was done in gouache on panel with a focus on the pastel grays and yellows of Cedar Point providing a background for the dark blue lobster boat to stand out against.
