State Street in Portland, Maine is lined with stately brick buildings dating from the 1800’s. It is one of the most beautiful streets in any city with Victorian brick architecture spanning several revival periods including the Gothic Revival, which State Street Congressional Church is a perfect example of.
I painted this view of the church from the corner of Congress and State Streets in downtown Portland.
