I drew this after walking around my neighborhood on a peaceful, gray, snowy day. I loved the contrast of the snow against the dark blue-gray of the house. The snow hadn’t been falling for too long and you could see the fence changing colors from it’s light weathered gray to the darker wet richness of the natural wood. I was also fascinated how the snowflakes looked darker against the light gray sky instead of disappearing into it.
